Moving to Texas, schools for Land Surveying?

I'm moving to Dallas/Fort Worth Texas, and I am wanting to study land surveying. Where are some schools (anywhere) in Texas where I can study surveying? I would prefer the schools to be close to Dallas/Fort Worth, but I really want to become a surveyor, so I'm willing to go just about anywhere in the state. Or somewhere hours away. Thanks!!

Does anyone know about land surveying as a career?

What is the required education? I can't stand the idea of a regular job. I luv trig and being outside... I'm going to go to an information seminar but I am wondering does the license require a two or four year degree in Tx? - the more you know, the better!!

Rough idea for costs of surveying land for Fence boundaries?

I have a lot size of 180 by 75 roughly in Linear feet according to the plot map. Unfortunately, I have no idea where the edge of the property starts, especially in a heavily wooded back yard. I've never hired a surveyor before and am curious as to questions to ask and an estimate of cost. What are some things to request? And how much will it roughly cost? Thanks. P.S. don't respond if you have no idea or direct me to Google. I will just report the post as a worthless response.

I work for a land surveying company and the owner of the company was running for CO. Surveyor.?

He lost last night and is kinda bumbed. Is there anything we can do like send a card showing we were thinking of him yesterday and are thinking of him now? I'm not sure what to say to him. He only lost by like 15 votes too so that sucks.
